Texas Snack Company is a micro market vending business founded by Jeff Crowder, a former corporate employee turned entrepreneur. Jeff’s company installs snack markets and vending machines in break rooms across Texas, essentially creating mini-convenience stores inside offices.
With a rotating inventory of snacks with sensitive climate control needs and a growing team of employees, Texas Snack was ready for more room to grow. What they needed? A professional, flexible space that felt like a real HQ—without the real estate headache.

Before WareSpace Hustling from Home
Hustling from Home
Like many small businesses, Texas Snack began at home—literally. “We were in one of our spare bedrooms. And then the wife was like, we gotta do something different.”
The space was cramped. Deliveries were hard to manage. Boundaries between work and home life were almost non-existent. “We were starting at 4am—employees coming to our house, shelves around the room, product stacked everywhere. I’d roll out of bed and go straight to work. It was all-consuming.”
When they looked for alternatives, the options were bleak: Traditional warehouse spaces were too expensive and often lacked essential amenities. “Most of what we saw was non-climate controlled—and if you’re storing chocolate, that’s a dealbreaker. The cost was 2–3x what we could afford as a startup.”
That’s when they discovered WareSpace.
If we would have gotten a commercial space, it would have been tough to say, ‘We’re out of room, let’s get a bigger space.’ We would have to completely move our operations. At WareSpace, we just have to expand our unit.”
Making the Switch The Right Fit at the Right Time
The Right Fit at the Right Time
Texas Snack found WareSpace to be the perfect in-between: more professional and scalable than working from home, but way more accessible and flexible than traditional commercial space.
“WareSpace checked all the boxes: Space, air conditioning, Internet, 24-hour access. And then we saw the facility, we were blown away by how nice it was. Other warehouses we’d seen were dingy and dirty.”
From a logistics standpoint, everything became easier: Loading docks, ramps, and carts made inventory management a breeze. Reliable internet and utilities meant no more tech headaches. Shared tools and equipment like pallet jacks and ladders, which Jeff says his teams uses every day, reduced their overhead.
They started small, with a unit about the size of a bedroom. But as the business grew, WareSpace made it easy to level up: first to a mid-sized unit, and now to a much larger space.
“We’ve expanded into our third unit. And the WareSpace team worked with us every time—even when we weren’t done with our lease, they helped us move.”
What They Love Infinite Growth and Community
Infinite Growth and Community
“My favorite part about WareSpace is the ability to easily expand as we grow. We’re currently in our third unit. We started in a very small one that was the size of a bedroom. We moved up to a little larger one and now we’re in this much larger one. We hadn’t finished our lease, but it was no big deal to increase our unit size when we had a growth spurt.”
A surprising bonus? The community.
“That’s something that I don’t know if you really value at first, but it’s amazing that there’s a community of like-minded folks who are growing their business just like you are. We’ve had events together, we’ve had lunches together, and we joke and help each other.”
Looking Ahead Scaling Smart
Scaling Smart
Texas Snack is now running a full-fledged operation with a growing team, expanded inventory, and strong customer base. And they’re not stopping here.
They’ve grown their business, increased headcount, and are already eyeing more space. “The fact that we can grow within the building is everything.”
If they’d signed a traditional long-term lease, expansion would have meant disruption. With WareSpace, they can simply shift into a larger unit—no moving trucks required.
“Leases that grow with us gives us flexibility. We’re not locked in. That lets us plan without fear.”
