GROWTH STORY
From basement bottlenecks to 2x growth: How Kick Block scaled with smart space
Kick Block at a glance:
Outgrew home setup; inefficient storage and fulfillment
Flexible, all-in-one warehouse space with onsite shipping, inventory tools, and shared equipment
2x business growth in 12 months; faster fulfillment; scalable operations
Kick Block, founded by touring drummer Will Butera, creates smart accessories for drummers—starting with a simple solution to keep the bass drum in place. What began as a one-man operation in a parent’s basement quickly gained traction, especially as new product lines like custom drum rugs took off.
But as demand surged, the basement setup couldn’t keep up. Low ceilings, scattered storage, and constant trips to FedEx left Will overwhelmed. With WareSpace, he found not just more room—but the tools, flexibility, and community support to grow. The result? A streamlined operation and business that’s doubled since moving in.

Before WareSpace The Growing Pains
The Growing Pains
Kick Block started like many great ideas: from a real need. Touring drummer Will Butera couldn’t keep his bass drum from sliding mid-performance—so he built a solution.
But once orders took off, running a product business from a six-foot-ceiling basement quickly became a daily struggle. Limited storage, slow fulfillment, and endless trips to FedEx were costing him time, energy, and opportunity.
“It was a mess. I’d knock stuff over, curse, get yelled at by my parents—and I was in my late 20s. It just wasn’t sustainable.”

Making the Switch Finding Their Fit
Finding Their Fit
Will started looking for space—and stumbled across WareSpace online. What he found was more than he expected: a fully equipped warehouse with loading docks, shelving, and all-in pricing that made budgeting simple.
The short lease terms meant he could scale without the stress.
What They Love The Community
The Community
Will’s favorite part? The people. From shared hallway conversations to monthly events, he’s found a supportive community. And when Kick Block outgrew their first unit, upgrading was easy—no red tape, just a quick conversation. With space to grow and neighbors to learn from, Will sees WareSpace as more than a building – it’s a launchpad.
