Growth story

He was driving his daughter to school when he spotted something that changed his business. Lead times got cut in half.

The problem

Working from home with third-party warehouses; losing quality control; slow lead times; couldn't find small warehouse space with a loading dock.

The solution

A private loading dock for oversized pallets, shared equipment, office and warehouse in one location, and flexible scaling to larger units.

The results

Lead times cut in half; quality control restored; same-day customer response; already expanded to a third (larger) unit since November 2024.

Andy Lambert runs CycleHoop US, the North American branch of a London-based maker of high-security bicycle parking. Working from home and relying on third-party warehouses since 2022, quality control was slipping, until he drove past WareSpace on the way to school drop-off. Since November 2024, CycleHoop has cut lead times in half and already moved into its third, larger unit.

Before WareSpace: not touching their own products

When CycleHoop launched its North American branch in 2022, Andy started the way many small businesses do: working from home and outsourcing fulfillment to third-party warehouses. The problem was control, and quality slipped when they weren't touching inventory daily.

A shared downtown office gave them desks but no warehouse, and finding even a thousand square feet of warehouse with a proper dock proved surprisingly difficult.

I was taking my daughter to school and I drove by this place. WareSpace, what is that? I looked it up online and it was like a dream come true. Little warehouses with private loading docks plus office space, all in one location. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before.

Making the switch: a game changer for small business

WareSpace solved a problem that had seemed unsolvable: warehouse space sized for a small company, with a private loading dock plus offices and communal space, at a price per square foot that made sense.

The private dock lets CycleHoop assemble oversized pallets over two or three days and stage them at the door, while shared pallet jacks, material lifts, and rolling ladders eliminated capital expenses.

Where they are now: lead times cut in half

Since November 2024, lead times got cut in half, not incrementally, half. The difference came from control: managing their own inventory and ensuring the quality of every shipment themselves.

Growth has been fast: CycleHoop is now in its third warehouse space, with easy moves between units, and a community of like-minded small businesses next door.

Once we moved into WareSpace, we cut our lead times in half. Being able to get a small warehouse space with a private loading dock enabled us to improve the quality of the product as it shipped, and shorten our lead times.
