Questions from creatives

Working out of WareSpace

The practical questions creatives ask before they tour, on studio use, shoots, storage, access, and what fits.

Can I use a WareSpace unit as a studio or workshop?

Yes. Creatives and artists use WareSpace as a real studio, workshop, or production space, a private, lockable unit with HVAC climate control, power, fast WiFi, and 24/7 access, so the work has room to grow beyond a spare room or garage.

Can I work from my unit?

Definitely. Many Tenants set up a working studio inside their unit, with plenty of electrical outlets and fast WiFi. There are also conference rooms on site for client meetings, plus a kitchen and lounge.

Is it suitable for photo and video shoots?

Yes. The open units work well as photography and video studios, set backdrops, light a set, store gear and props, and stage shoots. 24/7 access means you can shoot on your own schedule.

Can I store event, decor, or prop inventory?

Yes. Event designers, decorators, and prop houses use WareSpace to store and stage inventory on industrial racking, with shared loading docks for moving large or bulky pieces in and out.

What kinds of creative work aren't a fit?

Because neighboring units are close by, work that requires loud machinery or heavy industrial operation is not a good fit. Quiet-to-moderate studio, workshop, and craft work fits well.

Can I get natural light, a sink, or extra power?

Yes to all three where available. Natural-light units can be requested for studio and shoot work, utility sinks are available for messier creative processes, and units come with 120V/20-amp power standard with more available on request. Ask the on-site General Manager what each location offers on your tour.

How much does a studio or workshop unit cost?

Units start at $1,000/mo, all-inclusive, covering HVAC climate control, shared loading docks, racking, 24/7 access, WiFi, utilities, and amenities. No CAM charges, no triple-net (NNN) surprises, and no personal guarantee, on short 6- to 12-month terms.

How do I know if my business is an acceptable use?

Most storage, fulfillment, distribution, and light commercial uses are a fit. A few uses need General Manager approval first, such as last-mile delivery, coffee roasting, or battery storage, and a handful aren't permitted, including auto repair, indoor vehicle storage, food manufacturing, welding or spray painting, and crypto-mining. See the full acceptable use policy at warespace.com/resources/acceptable-use, or just tell us what you do and we'll confirm your fit before you sign.
